Tula Correa Negrón
Proprietor
Tula has over 40 years of experience in event planning and historic site master planning. During the 1980's, she was a publicist on Capitol Hill for a prominent communications mogul, arranging galas, luncheons, power breakfasts and press conferences for statesmen, dignitaries, diplomats and other public figures.
Tula has worked for numerous government and non-profit organizations as an event and site master planner. The team lead in designing visitor experiences through the use of spatial planning, design, placement, color, flow and textiles as well as through a variety of communications media, she possesses a unique suite of skills and experience for creating signature affairs.
With an affinity for historic buildings and a passion for inspiring an appreciation in others, Tula's dream was to own an historic estate where others would be able to create meaningful and memorable experiences. She purchased the L.H. Hilton House and its beautifully landscaped grounds in December of 2021. Renovations of the house and eight acres immediately followed with the intent to open the property as a venue for small, intimate weddings and events.
Tula brings her broad background of publicity, planning and photography to the venue, providing every client with a customized event that bears its own unique signature, indicative of each client's personality and interests. She invites you to be among her honored guests to host your special day at the beautiful and historic Hilton Estate which lies beyond the wrought iron gates.
About the LH Hilton House
Built in 1952 by LH Hilton II, this Colonial Revival home stands in memory of the family that played a significant role in the history of Screven County. LH Hilton, Sr. died in 1911 after bringing many firsts to Sylvania, including an Orient Buckboard automobile, Screven County Bank, Screven Oil Mill and the first telephone company which connected Sylvania with the outside world via a switching station at Central of Georgia Railway. Hilton also founded the nearby town of Hiltonia and served in the Georgia House of Representatives. ​Evelyn's Garden is named for the first lady of the house, Evelyn Odom Hilton, who had a passion for gardening. She planted many of the fruit and other trees present in the walled garden we enjoy today. Evelyn also is credited with the addition of the weathered brick wishing well that was once near and dear to her heart.​ Today, the property boasts many additions introduced by Proprietor, Tula Correa Negron. The Hilton estate offers several beautiful sites for your special events such as our sprawling lawn, the English country garden with tiered fountain, the Grand Ol' Southern Porch, the English rose garden with masonry wall and shed, and Evelyn's Garden, with its majestic oak, fruit trees, and graceful willow encircling her beloved Wishing Well.​
